Health Guarantee
The health of the puppies is important to us ... so all of our adult Labrador Retrievers (both sire and dam) will have their health checks, clearances, and screenings done. When dealing with live animals it isn't 100% that a puppy or dog will not develop a genetic problem in the future, so each puppy comes with a Health Guarantee.
Both of these guarantee's begin at the puppies date of birth.
1. 12 Month Genetic Health Guarantee
2. 26 Month Guarantee for Hips, Elbows, and Eyes
The 12 month Genetic Health Guarantee helps us improve as breeders in case something unusual would turn up healthwise ... heart, kidney, liver function, etc.
A (sample) written copy of the Health Guarantee is provided for viewing when one comes to visit.
Please note : We no longer "vet check" our puppies and haven't done so for 12 years. A long time veterinarian assisted us in developing the 12 Month Genetic Guarantee. We have found over the years it is much safer to have puppies receive their vaccinations in a controlled environment that they are familiar with ... less stressful on the puppy & they don't pick up germs / fleas that may occassionally pass through a vet clinic as they are so young and vulnerable. It's important for new owners to have their puppy checked by a veterinarian of their choice as soon as possible or when their 2nd vaccine booster is due (we will let you know the date when it is due).
Of course, if we feel that a puppy needs to be seen by a veterinarian while in our care (they may be acting a little off and refuse to eat) we will have the puppy evaluated by a veterinarian immediately. This happens rarely, but it's best to be safe if treatment is required.
We are here to help and answer any questions for the lifetime of your puppy / dog. If for any reason you are unable to keep your puppy or dog we are willing to help or assist you in rehoming him or her. Occassionally we get requests or referrals from people that are looking for an older Labrador puppy or dog. In certain instances we may not have the room to accept your puppy / dog back ... such as when we have a litter of puppies due, puppies were recently born, or we have one or more females in heat. As mentioned before we are always willing to help you rehome your puppy / dog.
Most of all we hope by adding a Beaver Ridge Labrador puppy to your family ... he / she brings you many years of enjoyment.
